Hey everyone, so I recently read an article about Matt Damon in GQ Magazine, and it was an interesting article I must say! I never knew that Matt Damon and Ben Affleck were friends before they got famous…

Anyway though, the editorial for the article had me torn in two. Although after reading the article and waiting a couple of days before looking at the photos again gave me a larger appreciation for the styling of the shoot and I understand why it was styled the way it was, but… I just don’t know?

Some of the photos are actually amazing, I love the first one. Especially the outfit. My problem with the shoot is every single look being those super short 80’s shorts that practically have an inch to spare before everything falls out. Like I said, I get it, Matt Damon is for the generation above me. That’s what was “sexy” on a man. I know I am not the only one who listened to their parents complain about saggy shorts and butts hanging out, but… every look?

Is he wearing house slippers with long tube socks on the beach? I mean I guess if it’s a private beach or a yacht club with millionaires in their slippers and tube socks everywhere then that’s ok. Otherwise… Shoobi much? :/

Ok these ones work. Playing sports, I get the look. But then it changes to a hoodie (below) and I think it looks too thick to be worn at the beach. Again unless it’s your yacht club… it’s just weird?

The one above the last with the suit jacket obviously proves this is a yacht club, LOL. I did legitimately like the ice cream in the sand photos. Those were my favorite from the shoot.

What do you think of this shoot? Is it weird for the beach or does it work? I mean it depends on the age group, but… overall the styling is good and bad. Although I did like the stylist’s portfolio!
