Beauty: The Knot Dr by ConAir – (Hair)

Hey guys! So I recently received this as a gift! It’s an upgrade of my original one!

And amazingly it’s also purple! My favorite color of all time. I rarely use it though. Only when I have to go somewhere fancy or get ready for an event, etc…

This is where I started playing around with photography again… You might notice that I love playing with angles and the focus a lot of times… Focusing on words both up close and in the distance is one of my favorite things to do. I want to get the right photo! You know?

Lol. So anywho, my old one is the exact same brand and model. The newer one has more features though. It comes with two detachable pieces (pictured). It’s also MUCH MUCH larger than my old one! By like… 5 inches! It’s crazy!

The old one was a rose gold sort of a color… It’s also more round at the head where the brush is and my new one is more flat round… It still has bristles all the way around it. It’s just designed more like a brush…

And again I played with focusing on the names to show that it’s the same brand and model… Lol. The newer one just has “knotectomy” which is “precision knot surgery” according to the box… Definitely something I occasionally need because my hair is naturally curly.

I haven’t tried it out yet, but I will soon and hopefully compare them 🙂 I still kept my old one too… I’m not sure why since I won’t use it anymore… But either way 🙂 im very happy with my new one. The features, the detail to knots, the color! The only disadvantage is since it is larger, it weighs a slight bit more so holding it up for long periods might make your wrist a little tired lol. But not much! What do you think? Does anyone have one of these? Either the old or new? What are your thoughts on it? Let me know in the comments!

Photo Diary: Pop Rocks – Hugi Film

Hey everyone. So lately I’ve been kinda of obsessed with “film cameras” specifically Hugi and Kuji. Which aren’t real film cameras… they are just APPs on your phone that make your photos look like they were taken back in the 90’s with light leaks and grain. Complete with a fake date in the corner… I have like 10 different ones but Hugi is the best followed by Kuji in case anyone wants to try them out 🙂

These first three were taken by Hugi. In addition to the nostalgic film look… Hello POP ROCKS! LOL. Unfortunately I actually lost both of them after taking these photos and never got to eat them 🙁 thankfully they were lost in my room and are still sealed so one day if they ever turn up again… LOL 😉

The rest of the photos were actually taken with a camera named 1998… which is strange because the year they use it 1996 and I spent almost 30 minutes yesterday trying to figure out which camera used 1998, thinking that logically it would be camera 1998… no. It’s actually Hugi that uses the 1998 date…

Also don’t judge me but I kinda went hog wild on taking these photos so there is quite a few of them… lol I ended up deleting the regular photos I took and opted to just use the “film” ones to post for my diary 😛

Yeah… I promise on my next nostalgic trip using photography I won’t take as many photos… which will be today with my cotton candy push pop 😀 I have lots of cool old skool candy on my hands hahah

Whew. Thankfully that’s finally the last one. Imagine if I had actually edited all the others I took with the normal camera. Aye way too many, I couldn’t even decide which ones to post!! Nor could I really decide which ones are my favorites either… some of them are really similar, yes, but even a slight change can take a photograph a long way.

So, what do you think? Is it film overkill? I should just stick to my real film diaries. I just haven’t had time to develop anything and with real disposable film cameras I tend to spread the photos out so it takes quite a while for me to finish the film roll in order to get it developed in the first place… ironically real film doesn’t even have the date. I mean some cameras did but not the disposable kind… I had a whole black and white roll once. That took years to go through because I don’t take black and white too often…

Anyways though, which one of these is your favorite? Do you have one or you can’t decide? Or you don’t like any of them? Let me know in the comments 🙂 xoxo

Confessions of a Shopaholic: Holiday Gifts – A New Day Jewelry Set

Hey everyone. Get ready for a lot of posts all at once or at least all today and tomorrow because my drafts section is overflowing with lots of new stuff… First of them being some my Christmas presents (yes, I know its February that’s why I said get ready LOL)

Anyway, I was given these really pretty earrings and ring set. The first time I wore it for some reason I thought it had five rings not four and that I dropped one… Apparently that is not the case! Haha I do still have them all 😛 wahhooooo!

My ears aren’t used to earrings anymore though and I can only wear them for a small amount of time before my ears get really itchy 🙁 I just need to go get some nice earrings, that aren’t fake for ALL of my holes (there’s four in each ear)… I also really want to get my nose pierced… But that’s another story ha!

What do you think of them? Would you wear these? 🙂 xxoo

Beauty: Makeup – Brush Sets From Outerspace to Alice In Wonderland

They aren’t really from Alice In Wonderland, but when you look at them, do you see anything else?! I mean come on these scream “paint your cheeks red” lol 😉 I am in love.

These look like they totally belong with the other ones. I love the actual brush tips they look like FIRE almost. Compact with a little mirror! These would be perfect to put as your travel brushes and then use the full set above as your main brushes! Just an idea…

Isn’t this so pretty? It’s like straight out of Beauty and the Beast. This would even match the two sets above. Haha. Really though, this rose brush would be the eye of the collection in my opinion. Too cute not to pass up!

This one reminds me of the 19… 40’s, 50’s? It’s like one of those big powder brushes that they used. I mean it isn’t but that’s just what it reminds me of… what do you think? What does it remind you of? A time era or something different? Don’t say mermaid yet cuz there’s plenty more to remind you of mermaids! Just wait lol!

These ones are pretty, they look like a Unicorn horn spiral! So still not mermaid… unicorn lol 🙂

These bad boys could totally pass as makeup brushes from the future! I’m serious! You can totally see it too!

These ones remind me of those colored pencils that are half one color and half another… as colored pencils they suck, but as makeup brushes these rule! I am loving all the colors! Speaking of colours….

If the other ones are TOO many colours there is also a nice pastel option! Pastels are so pretty. Against the other colours they look girly and feminine. I love them… don’t you?

NOW YOU CAN SAY MERMAID! These ones are gorgeous! Yes they remind me of a mermaid. How? Idk the colours I suppose… the teal brush tips and ombré Color palette from pink to yellow blending all the colours of a mermaid together. At least in my brain anyways…

My favourite set combines the look of the previous “mermaid” tail but takes it to the next level using my favourite color purple with hues of light blues, silvers, golds, lilacs and lavenders all together for a futuristic purple ombré mermaid brush set… that was a mouthful. Haha these aren’t actually mermaid related, but they are my favourite set! This plus this single brush that’s only $1!

Thus completing my imaginary brush set <3 In all actuality these brush sets are quite affordable. They range in price from $50 for the 32 red heart brush set down to $1 for the solo purple. The mid ranges on average of $5 – $10 the 32 brush set is really the only one in a different price bracket. They’re all available at Shein.com for very reasonable prices along with hundreds of other brush sets.

Which brush or brush set is your favourite? Would you combine any sets together? Like the first 3 with the hearts and ending with the rose brush or maybe the mermaid and the purple with their matching handles? Or a new set entirely? If so post it in the comments so I can see! I love makeup brushes I collect them and have some really cool ones! I rarely use all the sets for makeup though… most are just collected for their cool designs. I’m craazzzzyyy. Lol. xo

Hygiene: Hallu Unicorn Purple Bath Bombs – Product Review

Hallu Unicorn Bath Bomb

Hey everyone! So a while ago, I bought a few of Hallu’s Bath Bomb’s from Wal – Mart including the “Unicorn” bomb and OMG, this was possibly my absolute favorite bath bomb I have ever tried!

The water started off with a deep swirling indigo color (dark blueish purple) and it swirled into the most beautiful color of purple on the planet! The scent was amazing and I came out smelling amazing! The color ended with a nice deep violet (see below!)

Please ignore the dirty bathroom… I didn’t even notice it until right now LOL. Anyways, obviously it’s my favorite for the beautiful colors that swirled in the water combined with the scent of the water and the super fun bubbles (that were added separately not created by the bath bomb) this was probably my favorite bubble bath of all time.

I love bath bombs so much! Especially when they turn out to be beautiful shades of the color purple. My last one was a nice fuchsia/magenta color. This one tops it though. The colors were amazing. Please definitely try this one out if you can! It made my day. Not to mention it smelled so amazingly good! Ahhh! I want to try all of them from this brand now.

You can find them at your local Wal Mart or Walgreen’s, CVS, or wherever you usually shop for hygiene items I’m sure. Just avoid the 99 cent only stores. Although they do sell some stuff that looks promising it usually lacks scent and is cheaply produced. This brand is $5 a bomb but that $5 is totally worth it. Trust me, I promise you won’t regret trying one of these… especially the Unicorn bomb! Up next for me: the Mermaid bomb! I’m serious. Go check them out! x

Beauty: Universal Bamboo Bath Tray

Hey guys! So a couple of weeks ago a friend of mine gave me a really awesome gift out of the blue. At first I didn’t honestly know what it was specifically for, but I knew it was a tray for your lap. I started using mine while watching TV and working on my iPad or MacBook. Then I got curious to google it because it comes with a soap holder (see below) that isn’t attached to it and I wanted to find out what it was for…

Vivo Home Bamboo Bathtub Caddy

That’s when I learned it’s true usage! It’s a bathtub caddy for relaxing in the tub! It even has a slot for holding your wine glass specifically.

I immediately fell in love with mine all over again! I started to look through photos of them to see what people used them for… and technically it doesn’t have to be used in the bathtub… or even the bathroom! It can be used anywhere you want to.

They also come in several different styles and looks. Not just color/type of wood (possibly but not sure about that) wise! This one one make it look like a fancy marble style bathroom. The kind in a super huge bathroom with a jet spa bathtub and a super soft fluffy bathrobe with matching slippers constantly hanging up on a hook just outside the tub… oh sorry I was day dreaming! LOL 😉

This one has a lot of ridges that I think may function better if it is used as a bathroom caddy rather than a portable desk like I currently do. Look wise though I think the ridges add style to it! Especially in the bathtub. It’s amazing how different cuts of wood can make something so unique.

They come in both light and dark brown!

Here’s another color that adds a completely different look/style. The darker wood adds a rustic old style look to a bathroom. I love how they tied the wash clothes up with a string. So simple but it really takes it up there to look extremely classy/rich. By rich I don’t literally mean a lot of money. I mean it makes the room look rich with the color choice. I don’t like the metal bars/poles on the second lighter option. The metal makes it look… out of place? Cheaper? Just… not as nice I suppose…

Definitely feeling the darker one for a bathroom though! It’s so simple and basic. It’s literally a piece of wood just planked across the tub… complete still with a wine glass holder… they all have one. Surprisingly no soap caddy though… isn’t this supposed to be for a tub? Haha advertise holding wine glasses, but don’t drop your soap! Lmao I tease.

See the ones with a bunch of options still look just as nice but you have the option to hold your wine and your towels! Hopefully it doesn’t fall into the bathtub though! Oops…

See here’s an example of how I tend to currently use mine… it stays next to my bed/tv because I rarely sit at my desk… I have no idea why but… hey I can still have it hold my wine glass! Just have to get some wine glasses first though 😛

I really feel the emphasis on the wine here… but idk maybe they should also have some photos with tea cups or coffee mugs… just for those of us that rarely or never drink wine… Although putting my OJ in a wine glass makes me feel fancy… putting grape juice in my mine glass makes me feel like a liar lol

This one has a wooden holder for your tablet. I wish mine had one like that. It makes the entire caddy look a lot nicer overall and it’s probably more sturdy than the simple wires with a cloth…

For those of you who are confused as to what I am talking about see above. The book or iPad holder is literally just a wire with some material sewn onto it. Most companies put their name here for advertising. Too bad that makes it look ugly and cheap. Yes mine had it too. No exception. Well except for these ones. I noticed the dark brown one doesn’t even have a holder at all, while two or three of them have wooden holders, but the majority of them all come with the simple wire and the company’s branded material right in your face…

Way to be subtle guys… I mean the names already printed on the wood towards the bottom… why does it have to be five inches above it. It’s like a repeat. I’m done ranting about the company names. Let’s focus on how amazing these things are and how great they function both inside and outside of the bathtub!

What do you think? Do you have one already? Would you get one? Would you prefer the wooden/bamboo caddy or a simple wire one that they sell for $5 at the discount stores? Definitely more budget friendly. These caddy’s range in price from $50-$70 ! I mean I LOVE mine… what about you? Is it a good investment? Would you get one?

Fashion: Accessorize It! – MB&F Watches

Hey guys! So I recently fell in love with these watches. They are men’s watches from the brand MB&F. The purple one is the reason I fell in love with them obviously! However, the unique look of the “3D” watch on your wrist makes for a really awesome design. It’s almost futuristic and reminds me of outer space or the galaxy.

They could also be one of those really old school sun dials where it’s all stone and the sun tells you what time it is. I guess it could also remind you of one of the really huge clocks too like from Back From the Future or Hogwarts… only because of the third movie where the camera takes you directly through the clock with the camera instead of following the actors… either way the watch has an old school meets futuristic type of design!

The last design I posted is called the “Bulldog” and it’s even more 3D than the previous one! I like it because it’s bulky. Since these are for men a traditional watch gold or silver occasionally with diamonds is so basic nowadays but at the same time a digital watch is not even on the same level. It shouldn’t even be a watch honestly. A digital timer can be on your phone. These designs however make a man stand out. Especially since the first impression you give requires a handshake.

Holding out your hand while wearing one of these designs will sure grab some attention! It also means you pay attention to detail. A little detail your client might see and like about you as well! Either way, these watches come in purple, blue and nice light teal color. The Bulldog comes in blue with a matching wristband instead of the traditional leather wristband.

What do you think of these watches? Would you love to see your man wearing one of these? Or would you dare to wear one yourself? I might opt for the purple one! It’s like the inside of a watch inside of a snow globe on your wrist. I definitely could get into it. What do you think? xoxo

Fashion: Editorials & Runway: Matt Damon Editorial – GQ Magazine

Hey everyone, so I recently read an article about Matt Damon in GQ Magazine, and it was an interesting article I must say! I never knew that Matt Damon and Ben Affleck were friends before they got famous…

Anyway though, the editorial for the article had me torn in two. Although after reading the article and waiting a couple of days before looking at the photos again gave me a larger appreciation for the styling of the shoot and I understand why it was styled the way it was, but… I just don’t know?

Some of the photos are actually amazing, I love the first one. Especially the outfit. My problem with the shoot is every single look being those super short 80’s shorts that practically have an inch to spare before everything falls out. Like I said, I get it, Matt Damon is for the generation above me. That’s what was “sexy” on a man. I know I am not the only one who listened to their parents complain about saggy shorts and butts hanging out, but… every look?

Ok this bathrobe one is cool, and I guess it isn’t shorts either so I reclaim my last statement. LOL.

Is he wearing house slippers with long tube socks on the beach? I mean I guess if it’s a private beach or a yacht club with millionaires in their slippers and tube socks everywhere then that’s ok. Otherwise… Shoobi much? :/

Ok these ones work. Playing sports, I get the look. But then it changes to a hoodie (below) and I think it looks too thick to be worn at the beach. Again unless it’s your yacht club… it’s just weird?

At least he looks cozy in the beach house.

The one above the last with the suit jacket obviously proves this is a yacht club, LOL. I did legitimately like the ice cream in the sand photos. Those were my favorite from the shoot.

What do you think of this shoot? Is it weird for the beach or does it work? I mean it depends on the age group, but… overall the styling is good and bad. Although I did like the stylist’s portfolio! You can view the article at www.GQmagazine.com and tell me what you think of Matt Damon’s sexy 80’s short shorts in the comments below! xoxo

Hello: Dear Google – What Are Other Planets Made Out Of?

What are planets made of?

Image: Taken from Tumblr, (source unknown)

Earth and the other three inner planets of our solar system (Mercury, Venus and Mars) are made of rock, containing common minerals like feldspars and metals like magnesium and aluminum. So is Pluto. The other planets are not solid. Jupiter, for instance, is made up mostly of trapped helium, hydrogen, and water. In our solar system, the four “gas giants” are Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, and Uranus.

Skincare: Panda Face Mask #1 – Product Review

Hey guys! This is one of those old posts before I cut my hair that never posted! So here we go…

So I’ve had some really cute panda face masks for a while now. They were almost too cute to use! But I finally decided to try the first one out last week! The mask is for HYDRATING and SOOTHING skin. (This review is for the one on the left (again that would be stage right ;)) … Don’t ask.

Yes, I will be reviewing the second mask (the pink one) hopefully later this week so be sure to come back if you want to see the second one! So these masks we’re both given to me as a gift so I am not sure where they originally came from but the brand(s) are Soo’AE NY, for this mask and the pink one is from Peach Slices!

First off, please note that the mask is very fragile and somewhat hard to place gently. Masks usually come with a slimy gel type of liquid and this mask was thick and slimy honestly. At least in my hands. When I put it on my face it was perfect! Once again though be careful with it, because I ended up accidentally ripping my mask near the nose part, which made it kinda hard to position correctly… The first thing you notice is that it’s obviously hella cute! It’s literally a panda face (but only half of it) so it is made specifically for your eye area only not your entire face.

I waited a while to review this mask because I wanted to make sure I used it for what it says: revitalizes eyes, soothes, and hydrates. So I waited until my skin was particularly dry and my eyes had dark circles underneath them. The thick slim did the trick. I know most masks are slippery and sometimes they are slimy as well, but this particular mask was thicker than any other mask I’ve ever tried before… The hydration made my face glow again! I’ve tried other hydration masks but this one takes the cake for brightening and making my face glow afterward.

I definitely would recommend anyone needing hydration or even just a mask to make your face look alive instead of extremely dry this would be the mask for you! I, unfortunately, lost the after picture so you should try it out on your own! Just remember that the mask is thick, heavy, and slimy when you open it, so go slow so you don’t rip it like I did! 😛

Has anyone ever tried this mask before? Or even just heard of the brand ”Soo’AE New York” or tried any other products from them? What are your thoughts? Or if you haven’t, would you want to try out this mask? The cuteness alone is a bonus! Thoughts? xo
