B.O. & Shopping Don’t Mix

So last night, I went shopping for my Valentine’s Day outfit. Unfortunately for me, the shoes I wanted weren’t at ANY STORE in my size. Which is ironic because these shoes are literally everywhere right now. Alas, I settled on a different pair but while running from store to store trying on clothing, something happened and I decided I wanted to blog about it because it’s kind of important!

n

Ladies, when you’re shopping and running around back and forth in the mall, you start to sweat and then you go around trying on clothing that people are going to be buying. Don’t be embarrassed, everyone sweats! The only problem with deodorant is that it’s possible to leave marks on the clothing you’re trying especially if it’s black! Now depending on the amount of time you wear the shirt in the dressing room (say you’re trying on skirts and leave that shirt on to pair it with them) you’re going to leave a smell on the shirt.

n

So how do we avoid doing this out of common courtesy for others? Ironically like I said using deodorant is actually bad for you! It releases toxins into your body so while looking for something to do about it, I ran across a home remedies list for body odor that gives ways to eliminate B.O. without using deodorant (although, I recommend you probably should still wear it… if you have been) and I won’t lie, I’m not a deodorant fan. I felt bad about that until one day I heard Kate Hudson doing an interview about Fool’s Gold and she told them that Matthew M doesn’t wear deodorant and he showers if he starts to smell. Amazing, made me feel so incredibly normal and now I just remember that every time. Everyone is different and not everyone even smells! It’s amazing lol.

n

Some of the natural ways you can get rid of B.O. include:

n

Bathing with Rose Water

n

Apple Cider Vinegar

n

Baking soda

n

Baby powder

n

The list goes on and on! You can even drink different teas on a daily basis to eliminate B.O. you can read the full list here: http://www.natural-homeremedies.com/homeremedies_body_odor.htm

n

Which one do you think would be most effective? I think I’m going to try bathing with Rose water because it says it eliminates the odor completely! Does anyone have any home remedies for getting rid of B.O. the natural way? Which one of these would you try?

Is A Pixie Haircut for Me?

So, my hair is awful. Everyone loves it because it’s so long and curly but frankly, it’s course, I have split ends, my curls are slowly becoming frizzy rather than spiral curls. I either need to chop it all off or learn how to style hair. Considering I’m lazy and more towards the “roll out of bed and if I stink shower…” type of attitude I’m thinking a pixie cut may be just the thing for me!

n

n

My sister and I talked about this a few years ago, I really liked the idea but that was before I was 18 and my mom didn’t give me the option of doing whatever I want with my hair. We talked about doing it really short though, like so I could spike it.

n

n

The only reason I’m actually considering it now is because my girl crush looks AMAZING with it…

n

n

Look at that flawless face, she looks good with everything! I think I like the longer version of the cut though, the kind with it swooped into your face but I think that would take styling. I always see a picture Anyways, for those of you who have considered Pixie Haircuts or gotten them, did you regret it? Did you love it? Do you think it would look alright on my face/features or should I consider a different cut? x

Fashion Story for iPhone

I’ve been so addicted to this game for almost two years now! Ever since I got my iPhone I opened up an I’m A Jerk Boutique (I know right, LOL) and have been playing ever since. I never really got addicted to the Bakery Story or the Zoo Story but Fashion Story… that’s a different story! 😉

n

Basically, you start small and you’re running a boutique. The clothing takes some time to “create” which is understandable unlike Mac and Cheese which shouldn’t take six hours to cook… You can design your boutique, order which clothes you like, change your look/update your outfit. They also recently updated the game to add “goals” which I’m so glad they did because it was starting to become boring :/

n

n

n

Since they require to to do goals now, it kind of messes up your store because in order to pass ONE goal you have to buy something stupid like 5 purple racks which are 25,000 each. So you have to be really dedicated to this game… LOL

n

n

I really just want to decorate my boutique the way I want to. Does anyone else play this game? If you have an iPhone and you don’t you should definitely look it up! It’s a free game and it’s really fun to play. If you do decide to get your own boutique or you already have one, add me as a neighbor because you will need neighbor’s in order to reach your goals!

n

My STORM8 ID: rosependleton

n

I also play Zoo Story, Pet Story, Bakery Story, Restaurant Story just not as often nor do I have any neighbors on those ones because I don’t put any effort. But if you play and want an extra neighbor, my ID is still rosependleton!

n

Let the games begin! x

Sneaker Heels: Love or Hate?

Last week I started to obsess over sneaker heels. The simple kid, just sneakers with heels. Then I decided to take it to another level and lookup sneaker stilettos… yes, there’s a difference 😉

n

I’m in LOVE with these Nike ones. Nike is on point with these! My friend however, thinks they’re really tacky. What do you think?

n

n

n

LOVE so much, love. They also have ones that a little more simple aka “smaller”.

n

n

I really need a pair of these! SO MUCH LOVE.

n

Usually I’m not a Nike fan though, so I went to check out what my favourite shoes do have to offer. I’ve seen them before, they’re not quite as exciting as the different Nike ones but Converse does have some pretty snazzy Sneaker heels!

n

n

I think I’d prefer the Nike ones, which is sad because Taylor gang for life (yes, both the shoes and the Wizard 😉 HA!)

n

Would you rock any sneaker heels or do you think they’re tacky?

The Emergency Bra

Imagine all the sudden a fire starts and within seconds your house is engulfed in flames! What’s the first thing you do? Rip off your bra and cover your face! This idea seems weird until you find yourself in that fire wishing you had in fact bought yourself one of these awesome “EBbra’s” which was designed specifically for emergencies!

n

n

The bra was designed to protect TWO people in the event of an emergency.  The bra comes off (without taking any clothes off but seems like you might struggle with that in the event of an emergency if you start to panic?) and becomes two masks which you can place over your nose and mouth preventing any “airborne” particles, keeps your hands free and of course prevents panic attacks by making the person feel safer.

I’m not sure why I barely heard about this bra, the inventor won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize for it! What do you guys think? Would you invest in some of these bras or do you think it’s not worth it? I’m sad that they still only have it in red! Red is adorable but not always when it comes to white. When the world ends in 2012, I’ll be sure to complain about not owning one so all the zombies can hear about these! Thoughts?
