Hey guys! So I know by now you’re probably so tired of hearing me say I’m sorry for not posting, but I have been working my ASS OFF lately on putting together my new clothing brand Lilac Babes! I’ve been working on it for a long time (if you remember it was around for a little bit back in 2016!) Well, I have been pouring my heart and soul into this masterpiece and it’s ALMOST READY FOR YOU GUYS!!

I’m super thrilled with how it’s coming out because it’s so much more than just a clothing brand! Once we develop a brand following “The Lilac Life” is going to be launched and it’s literally its own social media platform for all the Babes to come together and meet others just like themselves!  Plus Lilac Babes has an entire backstory (brand mythology) on who they are and where they came from and WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE! A babe is literally an alien from Planet Lilac (officially called a Lilacian, but referred amongst themselves as Babes) who literally has lilac skin not to mention they LOVE every shade of the color purple! And they are actually named after shades of purple!

Jackets and hoodies are also totally new for me cuz I’m A Jerk Industries never got around to actually being able to make them (except twice)! This collection took several months of mixing different medias, inspiration, design ideas, products and colors and I am very satisfied with how it came out.

This collection was so much fun to do. My design programs were super limited and I had to full on make it work editing in different programs then moving it to somewhere else … Anyway you guys don’t care about that nonsense! Jeremy Scott premiered his debut collection for Moschino in Milan and I wasn’t going to blog about it but the show is causing such a controversy that I just HAD to. I first saw the photos yesterday and fell in love with them because I’m such a HUGE fan of McDonald’s (sorry bout it). Then today I read about how the show started late because Katy Perry arrived an hour behind schedule and was actually booed off stage! That’s not all the controversy his new collection is bringing. Some say he has actually RUINED fashion with his designs. So I wanted to give my input and show some of the amazing photos that I am so in love with. Don’t get me wrong there are a few outfits I’m not too fond of off the collection but still it’s more to love than to hate! Are Bralettes Appropriate for Everyday Wear?: Hey guys, so I wanted to know your opinion of bralettes. I won’t lie, I do like them, I do have a couple but as I sit here thinking about style and fashion I’m wondering if we will all soon be running around naked? Bralettes are being worn as “t-shirts” and are making a huge statement in the fashion world. But if you think about it, aren’t you technically running around in a bra?  Are Bralettes Appropriate for Everyday Wear? photo 1 Are Bralettes Appropriate for Everyday Wear? photo 2 I never really understood why wearing a swimsuit in public was fine but wearing your bra which covers the exact same thing and really looks the exact same way is “indecent exposure”. So with these bralettes all over the place being worn thousands of different ways including as tops by celebrities do you think that it’s too much or should we all be allowed to wear our bras outside as apart of our outfits? I feel like tops are getting smaller and smaller. A few years ago it was all BIG BIG BIG don’t show anything then it became show a little (lower stomach), a little more (full stomach), a lot (see through bralettes). But at the same time I’m obsessed with them and want to wear them everywhere. It’s such a complicated emotion, does anyone share it with me? My Resolutions for January 2014

My Resolutions for January 2014: Hey guys! So a lot of people up New YEARS resolutions which last roughly a few weeks into the year and then you slowly start to forget them. Well yesterday I didn’t wait for the clock to strike midnight or celebrate the new year. Because I realized that time is a man made concept and a New Year is just another day so in order to make my “resolutions work” I’m taking them one day or at least ONE MONTH at a time.  My Resolutions for January 2014 photo 1 You guys are more than welcome to take the calendars that I make for each month I already did all the photography for them. They really took some time to make I actually arranged all the flowers and dirt for each of the numbers myself 🙂 I know it’s been done before but I had a lot of fun doing it. I was planning on selling it on my Etsy but never really got around to editing it past June. Anyways so I wanted to give myself some resolutions for this month only and worry about NEXT month… next month. In January: 1) Lease train/Finish Potty Training Bandit
2) Do at least 5 modeling jobs (Sponsors, Events, etc.) (modeling isn’t really my main focus I’m not honestly sure what my focus is…)
3) Silk screen the old designs with sizes, begin silk screening the NEW designs.
4) Make feathers for Spring.
5) Apply for Vending locations close to Valentine’s Day
6) Begin lookbook for 2014 with new designs
7) Start saving for Chicago in July!
8) Blog more and about more important things! (Last Month I didn’t feel like blogging AT ALL my heart wasn’t in it:O)
9) Get all of Wild Violet’s new arrivals up and setup for Valentine’s Day promo
10) Apply for WARPED TOUR I know I already have one modeling job I just need to do the shoot so that leaves 4 more to find. I have a LOT of silk screening to do I have to silk screen ALL the sizes on EVERY shirt then all my “old” collections I need to silk screen both the sizes AND my logo. Then of course the new designs have lots of screens that need to be done. Warped Tour is going to be the hardest thing on my list because for vendors it fills up REALLY fast the day the basically announce how to apply. All the other times I applied it was too full by the time they got my application. Sucks to be me. I don’t want to go into TOO much detail but I feel like if don’t do Warped tour soon I’ll be too old. Plus my new designs are so incredibly perfect for Warped gahh. Maybe you’re never too old for Warped! Plus Wild Violet needs to have it’s entire “Valentine’s Day” promo setup BEFORE February. Rose’s Complete Guide To Valentine’s Day: From Getting Ready to Getting in Bed

Yes, that’s right you read the title right and I am more than excited to start doing this! Over the next eleven days I’m going to prepare you in my own way for Valentine’s Day! Keep in mind that this can be used by those with Valentine’s and those without! When you think of February do you think of love? Or at least does a colour come to mind? The colours that come to my mind are the obvious! Red, Pink and possibly white. But why? And how come Pink and Red are used to represent Valentine’s Day?

The colour red… represents intensity, passion & love. It’s a bold colour that symbols attention and unfortunately for our beautiful love Holiday the colour also makes those who WEAR it, appear to be a little larger than they actually are. HOWEVER, studies show that MALES prefer to see women in the colour red and find them more attractive when doing so.  Get your dude a nice black suit and a RED tie because too much red is not good but just the right amount can set a mood and compliment you. It represents both good and bad releases excitement, energy & passion but can also lead to danger and agression. Red also represents the male’s urges and impulses. Yes, THOSE urges and impulses.

The colour pink… represents innocence and childlike nature. It is often thought of for newborns or femininity. It is also used to represent a girl’s pureness & virginity.  It is also the colour considered “the colour of love” NOT passion/sex.

Did you know that back in the 1920’s PINK was a boy’s colour because it represented energy yet “boys” weren’t mature enough for the colour red yet? Girls wore blue because  it was a soft mild colour. BEFORE the 1920’s did you know that PINK was used by only upperclass but became VERY popular in men’s hosiery and later became available to both upper and lower class?

The colour white… represents being pure and sacred or “clean”. It is a colour used for purity which is why brides wear white dresses to show that they are innocent. Keep in mind if you choose to go with white for Valentine’s Day that white is great because it goes well with EVERYTHING but, it also gets dirty really fast… kind of like virginity. HA! I won’t ignore that stupid pun because it’s very true.

Now don’t be alarmed for those of you who don’t have a Valentine this year OR those that are pure and don’t plan on getting down & dirty this February 14th! Over the next eleven days (if I’m counting right, but I’m probably not) I’ll be taking you through a WIDE range of things to get ready from eating chocolates to shopping! If you haven’t been shopping for your look yet, have these colours changed your mind on anything? Which would you rather wear for Valentine’s Day even if you don’t have a Valentine/aren’t doing anything?

Don’t be a party pooper! Valentine’s Day is for lovers and LOVE is amazing. If you don’t have anyone to love you, LOVE YOURSELF! Besides, once again, need I mention the CHOCOLATES ON SALE AT THE DOLLAR STORE ALL MONTH LONG? 😉 Just treat yourself ladies! I’ll be going into detail about why Chocolates & Roses are given as gifts tomorrow!
