Also, I NEVER want to lose ANY of my content EVER again, so if you haven’t been to yet, all my photoshoots, red carpet events, videos, movie information, etc. is starting to go up.  Sorry if my websites are confusing to anyone I’m trying to fix that as best as possible. That is why & look similar.  They are supposed to be the same website except does not have a blog (it’s the “content” section) and will soon not have content but just a blog.  The navigation is similar so if you just look around you should figure it out.  If you have any ideas of how to make it not so confusing to people let me know. I’m doing this because Rosie Says Hello is going to have more than just ME featured on it once I get going whereas is my portfolio and I will be sending clients, filmmakers, photographers, etc. there rather than here, xo

If you wonder why I struggle with my websites and keep deleting the content and starting over it’s because I have OCD and I’m trying to be organized but really it just creates more work for me.

This is going to be the last personal style post that is posted “from the past” in the “present”. I’m going to continue to post them all, but with their appropriate/original date unless they we’re taken prior to August 2012 (when Rosie Says Hello opened) then they will be posted in the present.

What do you guys think? It was from a few years ago, I probably wouldn’t wear this now, I’m a little too old for it, but I do still own the shirt, really attached, I was golng to list it for sale a few weeks ago and couldn’t part with it even though I don’t wear it.  I’ll never sell my Yoshi wallet.  I will love Yoshi for life! x

Personal Style: My Christmas 2015

Hey guys! So today is Christmas Eve, but my only plans tomorrow is baking cookies and watching lots of Christmas movies with my mommy, so tonight was the night for my dress to shine! I ended up getting a cream faux fur coat to go with it and didn’t realize that Sears didn’t remove the security tag until putting it on tonight… But it came together well! I lost one of my gloves about a week ago so I didn’t wear them. Instead I painted my nails red & glitter silver 🙁

So this is the full look. I feel accessories really make the outfit and set the tone of the look!

This is the look without the jacket. I didn’t have much time to get ready so my hair was the last thing I did (besides painting my nails and doing my makeup in the car). So I just threw my curls to one side and pinned them up adding a red rose at the bottom. As I said accessories are important so I wanted to get a shot of my thumb ring haha it took a while.

Also these photos aren’t from my house they are from the restaurant we always eat at for Christmas!
The rest of the photos are selfies haha sue me! Here is a better shot of my thumb ring & sparkle clutch.

I think my XOXO tattoo goes well with almost every holiday and I really love that fact. My Bonjour! Tattoo matches really well but is in an awkward spot (which I love).  This is me trying to get good shots of my ring.

Here’s a side view of the flower I tried my best to get a shot of it.

My lipstick was Raspberry Rush which is a little off color I would of liked a bolder red but most of my lipsticks are missing :/ I think the only thing I missed was getting a good shot of my black sparkle heels.

Dinner was awesome then we came home to watch my niece and nephews open their presents!

These are the lights on my house we got that thing you point and aim at so you don’t have to actually put up lights. Now everyone is going to church. So what do you guys think of my full Christmas look?

I’m glad I painted my nails it would of looked plain without my gloves I hope I find them though…

Behind the Scenes: Modeling vs. Styling

I wanted to touched base on the different types of “photo shoots” that are put together for Rosie Says Hello.  Their are basic styling or “how to” guides, which is my own personal closet or clothing in the form of a styling tutorial where I’ve given some thought into each of the outfits or ideas themselves.  For example, How To Style “A Dress Different Ways” or “I’m A Jerk Wraps 12 Ways or even “Baseball Caps”.  I’ve had some friends come to me for advice on styling particular types of clothing like skater skirts (it’s scheduled to be shot!).  These “styling guides” are like I said ideas that I’ve thought of or have been asked to do and come from my own personal closet.

8688035506_00a7baf4aa_oAll articles from this How To shoot were from my own closet.  (The Cramps tee was provided by Franky’s Boutique but was given to me for styling on a DIFFERENT shoot [I’m A Jerk Magazine A/W 2010] a few years PRIOR to this styling guide), and therefore this was not promoting a product, but rather a written styling tutorial using my own personal style and closet of clothing.

A sponsor shoot is also different, but can sometimes be thrown into a mix of a styling tutorial.  For example, I once had ask me to put together a styling guide on what I would wear to Vegas to feature on their website.  Although it was a “sponsor shoot”, they didn’t provide any of the clothing, and only featured the written styling tutorial on their website.  A sponsor shoot would be when a particular company sends me an item of clothing or jewelry (even a beauty product for review, etc.) and I then put together a styling tutorial based around their piece to help promote them!

DSC_1152Dress was provided by Biology Boutique which shortly was used in a giveaway between Rosie Says Hello’s followers and Biology Boutique’s followers!

There are TWO more types of photo shoots but mainly fall into the same category which would be an actual modeling photo shoots.  Obviously on a “real” photo shoot (unless it’s for portfolio purposes), you aren’t going to be using your own personal clothing, there will usually be another stylist, makeup artist and your look may change several times throughout the shoot, etc.  These I very RARELY style myself, however on one occasion I had an online magazine ask me to style a basic t-shirt promoting their magazine not their clothing.  That event was very rare, but I feel it falls more into the modeling photo shoot rather than a sponsored style shoot especially since it’s a lifestyle magazine and not a fashion, style or beauty magazine.

Rose-PonyBoyTee-0335This is the particular shoot I was speaking of.  It was for the lifestyle magazine “The Name’s Ponyboy” and had three different sections one featuring a full outfit with the shirt + sticker, second being just the shirt + sticker and third just me and the sticker 😉

I hope this helps separate sponsored shoots from styling tutorials to actual modeling jobs.  I’m going to make a list so you can see what is going to be posted (and so I can keep track of what needs to be posted) I once again will also be posting these articles, all my previous modeling jobs, all my previous acting & crew work jobs as well as my personal style posts and product reviews.  Other section of the website that I really want to bring back is the “Horror Movie Review” section because I had a LOT of fun posting about horror movies and reviewing them.  Horror movies are one of my favorite things next to watercolors and flowers 😛 Stay tuned! Another article or post should go up tonight!

I have to style for the shoot tomorrow still! x

How To Style: A Dress 3 Different Ways

Hey everyone 🙂 hope you all are doing well! So this article I am comes from 2013 and is “How To Style A Dress Three Different Ways” using my all time favorite dress from my birthday and reminds me of a princess/ballerina.
The Dress
It’s a light pink dress that is form fitting at the top, but frills out for the skirt making it the perfect victim to be both a dress and a skirt.

Heels: Forever 21
Necklace: Forever 21
Look #1
Is inspired by Michael Jackson and is supposed to have 80’s vibe. I choose to pair it with an oversized blazer with shoulder pads and a large sequin bow sent to me from “Starry Eyed Bowtique”. It’s a look for an office job such as a chic secretary or receptionist.
8686912855_c83a49afa9_oBlazer: Vintage 80’s Blazer (Mom’s)
Bow: Starry Eyed Bowtique
Necklace: Forever 21
Look #2
Is a more casual laid back look. It is paired with a large sweater (one of my favorites because of the sleeves) and a custom DIY made army jacket and large black boots.  The look could go anywhere from a party to school or just lounging around.
8688032544_6f9974b66b_oSweater: Forever 21
Boots: eBay
Necklace: Forever 21
Jacket: Forever 21 w/ DIY Army print customization’s
Look #3
The final look is definitely more upbeat and punk rock. It’s very colorful and full of fun bulky accessories, paired with a vintage rock tee given by Franky’s Boutique in Silverlake, CA when we did the magazine shoot for the cover of I’m A Jerk Magazine. It’s topped off with classic Chuck Taylor’s, a black jacket, a plaid shirt wrapped around my waist, floral lace leggings ripped up and lots of bracelets.

How To Style: Your Boyfriend’s Clothing

“How To Style Your Boyfriend’s Clothing”
My BF at the time wore a lot of Adidas track pants so his clothes would fit the both of us. I put together a few different looks using t-shirts, oversized jeans, track pants, button ups and tops styled as skirts. Check these unique styles out and let me know what you think!

Look #1
The first look is all his clothing except the shoes (he had big feet!) and the sunglasses which were graciously lended by the photographer Ashley Abarca. It’s a chilled laid back look featuring Adidas track pants, boots, my vintage pearl tie & a black button up!

Shirt: Target
Pants: Adidas
Sunglasses: Ray Ban (photographer’s)
Boots: Chinese Laundry
Tie: Vintage

Look #2
Is a party or club outfit using my favorite shirt of his (and the only thing I kept when we broke up cuz I mean it’s a really comfortable shirt!), a red lace bustier, black wedge heels and a gray cut up over shirt. Definitely cute for clubbing, not for work! All you need is a large long sleeve shirt and you tie the sleeves in the back, front or side, to make a bow!

Over shirt: Love Culture
Heels: eBay
Necklace: Forever 21
Bustier: 99 Cent +
“Skirt”: Wal Mart

Look #3
Look three combines two shirts, pretty much the same style as the last look but more conservative and definitely work appropriate. Again, I used the long sleeve shirt as a skirt, but paired it with the black button up & snakeskin Jeffrey Campbell’s.

Look #4
The fourth outfit reminds me of a miner and is a classic look of boyfriend jeans tied with a black belt, the long sleeve shirt, a snake finger cap, black boots & a gray beanie.

Hype this look:

Jeans: Bullhead/PacSun
Belt: Friend’s

Fingercap: 99 Cent +
Beanie: Forever 21

Look #5
The final look is a large short sleeve shirt tied around the middle with a belt, paired with a vintage Vans Fedora & glitter heels. The logo on the shirt reminds me of Converse even though it’s not.

All five of these looks can by hyped on my Lookbook!

Confessions of a Shopaholic: My Christmas Outfit

When my mom and I went Black Friday shopping she found an amazing dress for me for Christmas! I love it so much, can’t wait for you to see it on me 😛

Then the other day my mom and I went shopping for the shoes for my dress because I bought a black glitter clutch to go with it and black gloves. Payless was having a huge sale so I ended up get an entire jewelry set including a thumb nail for when I take my gloves off!

I decided to do these black glitter heels because I didn’t like any of the silver or red heels. I think it helps bring the clutch in to the outfit.

My gloves aren’t pictured but here’s from when I bought them if you forgot what they look like!

They are on the far right with the bow. I like it but feel it’s going to have mixed feelings for everyone with the different styles and the shoes need larger glitter on them… We’ll see!
