Product Review: Dead Sea Minerals Anti-Stress Facial Mask

This is one of my all time FAVORITE masks. I haven’t been able to find the large version in the store (although I’m sure they have it) it really cleans out your pores and makes your skin feel soft. The main reason I fell in love with it is because it smells like you’re at the beach. It’s wonderful! Not to mention it’s bright blue! HAHA

This is a horrible product review, but really out of all of Freeman’s Feeling Beautiful Facial Masks, this is my all time favourite and those are the only facial masks I use (I rotate depending on what my skin needs). Right now I’m trying their “Chamomile Sleeping Mask” instead of using my night cream to see how that works so I will let you know! So far I really like it, but I’m not too sure if I like it better than my night cream because that makes my skin feel like a baby’s bottom the next day!

I bought a BUNCH of these packets for different facial masks from them including some new ones that I haven’t tried on my shopping haul last weekend (I haven’t posted all the skincare stuff I got yet!) so there will be some reviews up featuring some new products of theirs! I love Freeman’s Feeling Beautiful Facial Masks. They have one for all types of skins and literally use EVERYTHING you can think of to make sure you find one you love specifically for you. x

Confessions of a Shopaholic: Makeup & Makeup Kit (Part One)

Hey guys! It’s been stupidly hard to blog since my camera broke but the good news is, my new DSLR comes in the mail TOMORROW! I should be getting my camera bag & tripod today 🙂 anywho! I went shopping with my mom this past weekend and have a LOT of stuff to share so this is part one: the makeup!

I’m really excited because I finally got myself a makeup kit (it’s a bit small but it’s a start!) I have so much makeup that I have a huge makeup bag full of just lipstick plus these two little travel bags (both purple) one came with my new brushes! Check it out!

So I lost my black lipstick when I moved out of my grandmas house and have been looking for a new one ever since… But I finally got some NUDE lipsticks which I’m super excited about. One is more of a peach nude and is called “Lasting Finish” by Kate for Rimmel. (also Target doesnt sell my favorite lipstick brand and that’s really disappointing to me). The next one is “Bare All” which is more of a nude nude by Maybelline. The deep Rose one is called “Berry Rose” and is a nice mix between pink, red and purple. The last is a “Lilac Flush” which is a pink but not too bright since it’s mixed with purple. 🙂

I noticed after getting home that a LOT of my brushes went missing including my favorite blush / contour cheeks brush so I went and got some new brushes that came with a little makeup bag (haven’t decided what to use it for yet tho because…)

All of my brushes don’t fit in it so I use my other purple travel sized bag which is a little bigger for my brushes!

I also redid my key chains because I have quite a few new things including my purple pill holder, the butterfly keychain that my mom got me for Christmas & this daisy hand sanitizer holder (we went to bath and body works but that’s a different blog!) I also added my purple sharpie 😉 because I’m collecting everything purple on my keys!

And now it’s time for this bad boy! My new makeup kit. Like I said it’s a bit small for everything I have but I love it! It locks so I added the key to my key ring!

When it opens it has four shelves and a large bottom. So I put all my basics on the bottom.

The makeup that it holds are the BEST make ups I have including Dark Heart Designs (seriously the best makeup ever) I also added a few pallets that I use often. All my other makeup (broken pallets) like Elf that come off very easily I put inside the bag with my lipsticks for “back up”. I also got some regular items like black eyeliner (pencil, cuz i have liquid) & gray eyeliner, makeup remover wipes, q-tips, oil wipes, etc.

The very top holds my eyeliners, mascaras & eye shadow base (which I will be doing a review on because it’s great!) so this is the MAKEUP STUFF that I got this weekend. I have tons more to show like I said bath and body works, I got a few new clothing items & a lot of skincare product so! So it’s going to be a full blogging day for me! But first I am going to get dressed and do my makeup! 😉

Beauty Basics: Celebrity Perfumes

I’m winding down for the night! Only two more posts to go after this one! So, I rarely wear perfumes only because they are SO EXPENSIVE! And if you are really going to pay $50-$100+ for a bottle it better smell pretty fantastic! I usually use body spray… or more preferably just deodorant and I’m out the door with my normal skin scent. However, there are a few perfumes that I DO actually think smell good and I have forked over the money for them especially this first one at least three times now!

Number one: With Love… by Hilary Duff

I have always been a fan of Hilary Duff and I think she released another scent of perfume after this one but I didn’t really like it as much but that could of been a dream… let me go look. Yeah, she did it’s called Wrapped With Love also it’s gone WAY down in price since it first came out… either way I LOVE the scent of With Love and I’ve bought three bottles of these since it came out. The scent is great, sweet and perfect for nights that need perfume (because you don’t need it every night really now…)

Number two: Fantasy by Britney Spears

I am not even a Britney fan… sorry don’t hate me. I don’t dislike her, I’m just not a fan… I do however LOVE the smell of Fantasy which happened one day as I was walking through Macy’s and someone stopped me to smell it. I was mildly surprised at how much I really did love the smell of it!

Number three: The last one I only tried because Emma Watson endorsed the product and I love her. The one thing I didn’t know was that I was actually going to fall in love with the perfume too! It has a scent of raspberries, vanilla & rose. I’m not a huge fan of the way vanilla smells but the other two really brought this one together… plus the packaging is purple and anything that’s purple is really appealing to me. Although this one I believe is the most expensive out of the three, it’s also probably the one most worth it! You should definitely try it out if you can! What’s your favorite perfume scent? (NOT body spray, perfume.. .you know the expensive kind that you only use out of magazines by rubbing the paper on your skin and hoping if you keep the paper sealed away the smell will last longer but it doesn’t… that kind of perfume), x

Beauty Basics: Kesha’s Infinite Lipcolors ♥

You might notice I’m blogging A LOT tonight… I decided if I just post one or two of my old posts a day.. that might take me an entire YEAR to catch up with them… So I’m sorry if all these posts bother you but I really want to post them all and get them out of the way. Instead of posting them one – three per night I figured maybe I’d do all the blogs for one – two MONTHS per night. Then maybe I’ll be done by the end of February and it will no longer bother me and I will be free to finally create new posts without having my old ones hovering above my head!

This post is brought to you by KESHA and needs to be updated because I own SO many more colors than I used to when it comes to lipstick…. I mean every shade of the rainbow and shades OF shades of shades… of shades of the rainbow 😉 I can’t wait to show you all of them! Until then, I wanted to post this about how my favorite musician Kesha (who has her court date NEXT month since it was unfortunately post-poned earlier this week) can literally rock every color of lipstick effortlessly… AND DOES.

At the time of originally writing this post, like I said I never really experimented with lipstick colors so this “Amber” gold-orange was my favorite. Since I’ve tried many differents including purple glitter & black (which happens to be one of my ALL time favorites!

I definitely need to do a lipstick palette post with my lipstick colors! Who knew there could be so many shades of just pink and red alone! I own everything from pink ballerina shoes (a VERY light pink) to hot Barbie pink (a VERY PINK pink). What’s your favorite lipstick color and why? I can’t wait to show you the colors I have now! I have so many… this image below doesn’t even begin to cover it!

Product Review: Kimble Bounce Back Curling Revitalizer

Hey guys! So a few years ago my mom got me this curling revitalizer as a Christmas gift and ever since I haven’t found one that tops it (my next review of a curling revitalizer will be pretty much the opposite of this one). This one really lives up to it’s name of “Bounce Back” and makes your curls fresh and really bouncy!

It’s a sticky gel. Almost like hair gel but you apply it after getting out the shower and it works it magic while your hair air drys! That’s it! You just brush it in and it does all the work.

This is my curls before I jumped into the shower. I have naturally curly hair, so this is pretty much what it looks like everyday. Notice how it’s flat at the top by my roots and doesn’t really start to get curly until it passes my ears. Then the curls are pretty much all over the place and I don’t mean in a good way!

This is AFTER my hair dried and using the Kimble Bounce Back Curling Revitalizer! The curls start at the roots, they are more spiral shaped, tighter and closer together and go all the way around my head. I LOVE this product so incredibly much. The way my curls just literally bounce with it is amazing. I mean I have naturally curly hair so no matter what I do the curls will always be there they don’t “go flat” but they can look disgusting and using this really made them look amazing. I also got two other Kimble products that I didn’t like quite as much. One was a mint shampoo and I’m not a fan of mint. When I opened it in the shower, it burned my eyes with the strong small alone… so I’m not saying that I love this product for any reason other than I truly TRULY LOVE IT and have not found anything better to this day.

This product is hard to find in stores. Usually you can find it at Sally’s or possibly Target if you’re lucky. But if you don’t feel like going on a hunting trip, you can always order it online. Becareful of which product you are getting. They appear to have MANY different ones under the exact same brand and same name but are different types of liquid texture. They also have changed the look of the bottle since I got mine (pictured above) so there are a few different looks that you might find when looking for it. Mine (above), the newer-older version (below)…

OR these newer bottles of it rather than a squeeze bottle it’s in a pump. And these below are the ones I was talking about being careful when selecting the RIGHT product.

This one seems right because it’s the Bounce Back Curl in “Curl Cream” form, but it’s NOT the one I tried.

This is the RIGHT one. It’s the Curling Revitalizer not Curl Cream. (I have not tried the curl cream, but would love to if I ever get my hands on some!)

This last one is a Curl Enhancer and also says Bounce Back Curl on it. So just remember that you’re looking for the Revitalizer, not cream, not enhancer but the bottles seem to look similar. You can buy it in the Sally’s Beauty Supply store in person or online. I’ve also seen it at Target & JcPenney once. If you are interested in trying the other two they are listed in the online store above in the side where it lists similar products. The revitalizer seems to be the most expensive of the three, listed at $15.99 while the others are $13.99 and $12.99 respectfully. Have you guys ever tried this out? Do you want to? Beauty Basics: Chosungah 22 Foundation + Lipsticks “Mini” Tutorial

So here is a MINI makeup tutorial using Chosungah 22 foundation (01 Porcelain) and their flavored lipstick products! I look super tired because it was really early in the morning, which is why this is a “mini” tutorial and I use only a few images mainly to showcase the foundation + flavored lipsticks in action. A FULL tutorial using their foundation, but will all the steps, will be up very soon.

These are the products I used for this look. They are Chosungah 22 01 Porcelain for both foundations liquid and round compact. I used my usual 02 Vanilla Revlon concealer. Loreal Paris “Neon Skirt” but I only used the purple & white for this look because I was working and didn’t want to go over the top wild! I used my LA Splash Proof Sealer/Base which is one of my favorite things because it helps keep your eye shadow on all day for those ones that tend to come off 10 minutes after you put them on… L’Oreal Double Extend Mascara, Victoria Jackson bronzer, which is one of my favorites but I accidentally dropped half of it down the drain in Chicago a few years ago and it’s pretty expensive so I rarely use it. I also used their “Golden Pea Tea” flavored lipstick which is a tint of light pink & for the holidays my Victoria Secrets Beauty Rush Purple Glitter Gloss.

This is my face before adding anything at all. No makeup and slightly pimply.

This photo to cut short is right after I added the foundation & concealer but had no other makeup on.

This is after adding just the purple & white eye shadow (applying my base first), bronzer, mascara & eyeliner with their “Golden Peach Tea” pink tinted lipstick (I told you it’s more of a chap stick than a “pink” lipstick”).

And this is the final look after adding my VS Beauty Rush Purple Glitter Gloss. There were a few other photos, but I want to do a proper tutorial with better photos. You can definitely see the difference in my face with no makeup and adding the Chosungah foundation though! At the end I really could of taken a wet tissue across my eyebrows to remove the foundation. It makes my eyebrows darker and cleans the makeup out of them, but I was at my desk so I didn’t.

Their foundation has become my everyday foundation now so there will be a lot of tutorials & photo shoots soon using their brand. Wait and see! x

Beauty Basics: Chosungah 22 Foundation + Flavored Lipstick(s)

Hey guys! It’s been a really hectic week for me! I was in a car accident and currently don’t have transportation, my sister is going to give birth to my niece any second and I have a new favorite lipstick from a company named Chosungah 22!

First of all, I got some pretty amazing goodies in the mail from Chosungah 22 which is a new makeup company from Korea created by the artist named Chosungah! I would like to mention that the packaging is absolutely amazing and colorful!

They sent me two different foundations a liquid and a compact. The colors I got was Porcelain which they guessed on and ironically matches my skin really well!

The others I thought were shades of lipstick but are actually flavored lipsticks that have a slight tint and are more of a chapstick! I got Chai Tea (Clear Tan), Golden Peach Tea (Pink) & Guava Tint Jello (Red-Orange).

The cases are black matte with the tint color in on the number. Overall I think the packaging is insanely beautiful and packaging definitely matters!

My favorite has to be the Chai Tea because I drink Chai almost everyday! I apply it almost constantly, because I love it so much! The only downside is the flavor of the lipsticks aren’t too strong, which is why I apply it so much.

I absolutely love everything they sent to me! The foundations are now my main ones. I love the sponge at the top. You push a button to make the liquid come out and makes it really easy to blend!

Behind the Scenes: Modeling vs. Styling

I wanted to touched base on the different types of “photo shoots” that are put together for Rosie Says Hello. Their are basic styling or “how to” guides, which is my own personal closet or clothing in the form of a styling tutorial where I’ve given some thought into each of the outfits or ideas themselves. For example, How To Style “A Dress Different Ways” or “I’m A Jerk Wraps 12 Ways or even “Baseball Caps”. I’ve had some friends come to me for advice on styling particular types of clothing like skater skirts (it’s scheduled to be shot!). These “styling guides” are like I said ideas that I’ve thought of or have been asked to do and come from my own personal closet.

All articles from this How To shoot were from my own closet. (The Cramps tee was provided by Franky’s Boutique but was given to me for styling on a DIFFERENT shoot [I’m A Jerk Magazine A/W 2010] a few years PRIOR to this styling guide), and therefore this was not promoting a product, but rather a written styling tutorial using my own personal style and closet of clothing.

A sponsor shoot is also different, but can sometimes be thrown into a mix of a styling tutorial. For example, I once had Vegas.com ask me to put together a styling guide on what I would wear to Vegas to feature on their website. Although it was a “sponsor shoot”, they didn’t provide any of the clothing, and only featured the written styling tutorial on their website. A sponsor shoot would be when a particular company sends me an item of clothing or jewelry (even a beauty product for review, etc.) and I then put together a styling tutorial based around their piece to help promote them!

Dress was provided by Biology Boutique which shortly was used in a giveaway between Rosie Says Hello’s followers and Biology Boutique’s followers!

There are TWO more types of photo shoots but mainly fall into the same category which would be an actual modeling photo shoots. Obviously on a “real” photo shoot (unless it’s for portfolio purposes), you aren’t going to be using your own personal clothing, there will usually be another stylist, makeup artist and your look may change several times throughout the shoot, etc. These I very RARELY style myself, however on one occasion I had an online magazine ask me to style a basic t-shirt promoting their magazine not their clothing. That event was very rare, but I feel it falls more into the modeling photo shoot rather than a sponsored style shoot especially since it’s a lifestyle magazine and not a fashion, style or beauty magazine.

This is the particular shoot I was speaking of. It was for the lifestyle magazine “The Name’s Ponyboy” and had three different sections one featuring a full outfit with the shirt + sticker, second being just the shirt + sticker and third just me and the sticker 😉

I hope this helps separate sponsored shoots from styling tutorials to actual modeling jobs. I’m going to make a list so you can see what is going to be posted (and so I can keep track of what needs to be posted) I once again will also be posting these articles, all my previous modeling jobs, all my previous acting & crew work jobs as well as my personal style posts and product reviews. Other section of the website that I really want to bring back is the “Horror Movie Review” section because I had a LOT of fun posting about horror movies and reviewing them. Horror movies are one of my favorite things next to watercolors and flowers 😛 Stay tuned! Another article or post should go up tonight!

Backstage: Fashion Internship for Huntress New York

Today I started a fashion internship for s New York / Los Angeles brand Huntress that sells a collection of the designers own designs as well as an amazing vintage collection in apparel & accessories (purses, jewelry, etc.) featuring genuine leather pieces, retro jumpsuits, disco shirts, and amazing sequin blouses all from different time periods! However it doesn’t stop there! There is also upcoming beauty supplies (coming soon), Body supplies, such as soaps, sage kits, rose oils & energy cleansing kits. Plus different types of teas imported from India, as well as different types of honey! The Los Angeles store is located at 13342 W Washington Blvd Los Angeles, California open Monday – Friday 1pm – 6pm.

Today, I got the chance to help the designer get ready for the Huntress New York Black Friday sale taking place on Black Friday on Rose Ave in Venice Beach, CA!

There will be 26 different designers at the event all selling their items. The event is only $5 and the items being sold are incredible! If you are in the LA area you should definitely come check it out!

I got to spend my day helping curate a unique vintage collection of clothing that would be coming to the event and making labels for the sale. I must say these items are a CATCH! I really want to get my own hands on some of these one of a kind vintage pieces. They will not last so be sure to definitely come check out the sale (or the store!) if you can!

I also got to bottle and package teas!

They are absolutely beautiful which is funny because it’s a drink! Not only are teas beautiful, but most do not know they help with medicinal properties, like headaches, stomach aches, sore throats, and SO much more!

We ended up having a nice cup of Matcha tea, I believe it was paired with a little bit of Almond Milk (I’m not sure), a dash of cinnamon and some honey. We paired it with cashews. It was simply to die for.

I think after all this tea talk, I’m going to make my self a cup of delicious tea. Now which kind to choose I’m not sure. My all time favorite tea is still Chai, both hot & iced, but I’m thinking of something on the more fruity side at the moment which leaves me with Blueberry Wild Flower or Rose Hibiscus! Perhaps I’ll have a cup of both since I’m not feeling very well at the moment. Do you love tea? It’s one of my all time passions. I hope to one day grow my own plants and make my own recipes (I’ve actually already started the process).

Nail Art: Something Glittery for the Holidays!

So this morning I took a walk down to the nearest store (about a 1/2 a mile) just for fun, and as I passed a bus stop I noticed a bunch of trash underneath, including a baby stroller. As I was thinking “who would leave a baby stroller at a bus stop?”, something shiny caught my eye.

“Is that nail polish?” Call me CRAZY, but I decided to pick it up.

Was it broken? No.
Was it empty? No.
Was it dried up? No.

It was a perfectly fine, half full glitter nail polish… So I took it home, and did my nails!

I tore off the labels, because they were covered in dried nail polish, but there was nothing wrong with this nail polish! In fact, it dries super quickly and makes a perfect glitter polish or top coat over any color! 🙂

I had a great morning! Have you found anything on the ground other than money before?
