My name is Rose Ellen Pendleton, I am 33 years old from Southern California. Born on August 22, 1987, I began acting at the age of 4 years old and began modeling by the age of 13.

INTRODUCTION (1991 – 1999)

I began acting at the young age of 4 years old in a Christmas theatrical production for my church. It was the children’s performance that all of Sunday School children perform in, and I hated it. I remembers being dressed as a flower and they told us if we forget any lyrics just to lip sync the words “Jim likes to eat lots of Watermelon” over and over. I was petrified of all the adults watching in awe… but that’s a different story. I continued Christmas plays throughout the years, but never enjoyed theatrical acting. In the seventh grade my English teacher assigned us a book report and gave us several options including “make a short film” under 7 minutes long. So my family got together and helped me film a movie based on a Wishbone book called “The Case of the Missing Bulldog Head”.

After the production, (I got an A+!), I expressed my interest in becoming a film director and my grandma bought me my first video camera. Over the next ten years I filmed 25+ short films for fun with my best friend and that is when I realized my love for cameras no matter whether it’s in front or behind; I fell in love.

In the year 2000, I participated in my first runway show as a model for my school’s dress code and decided I wanted to go to Hollywood for both acting and modeling. At the age of 14, my mom took me to Beverly Hills where I had my first professional photo shoot, received a list of agencies, and bought headshots and zed cards.

I was determined to get into the industry and went back and forth for auditions and acting classes in Los Angeles every week. Unfortunately I learned my age (a minor) was causing a lot of problems for acting roles since most choose to cast “18 to play younger” due to work laws. So over the next 4 years I struggled to land any roles. In 2005, during my senior photos, the photographer talked to me about the industry and told me he used to shoot headshots for actors. He helped with my poses and facial expressions for modeling and later used my photos in his advertisement which was printed in every yearbook in Southern California.

“KIDS LIKE ME DON’T GET FAMOUS” (2005 – 2009)

In August of 2005, I FINALLY made it to the magical number of 18 years old. With my new head shots in hand, my own car, and the determination of a billionaire, I headed to Hollywood by myself to break into acting. My mom wished me luck out in Los Angeles, but didn’t like the drive so she helped me turn a story I wrote in high school titled “Conquest Before Dawn” into a full feature length script and helped me produce and create a full feature length film. Meanwhile out in Los Angeles, I went full force and within 3 months of graduation I had landed 3 roles, including my first full length feature film Zombies Ate My Prom Date (2011). Unfortunately the other two productions fell through, Conquest Before Dawn never finished filming, and it wasn’t for two more years that “ZAMPD” actually began filming.

During my high school years I developed a huge interest in digital media and taught myself web and graphic design. I began studying photography my first semester of college, but later changed my major. These skills really helped with self promotion and I ended up designing my first website RosePendleton.com for acting.

In the year 2006, I signed onto a production called “Baby, I’m Just Bad News” to learn more behind the camera after being turned down for a role. I used my photography skills for production photos and received two other resume credits: Production Assistant and Producer. In 2007, I decided to change my approach entirely and my name to Emma Rose Evans as well as my photography name to ERE Photography. I focused more on my modeling to get over my fear of performing in front of people and walked my first real fashion show for the couture designer Kami Shade at Level 3 Nightclub in Hollywood and Highland.

I had so much fun that two weeks later, I DANCED for her brand again on stage at a show for a rock band in Malibu named Midnite Theory.  I also was apart of the CD Artwork and promo video footage for a band named “Subject Two Change” where I got to break a guitar on a television set. Later that year, I participated in a “Jamie Lynn Jewelry” advertisement modeling toe rings, and was apart of a shoe advertisement. My film production company Whoa! Ducky Productions launched along with a web series for YouTube “Bonjour!” created by me and my friend, fellow model Laura Daley. We did several photo shoots together in order to promote the show and continued our shoots and friendship after the show ended.

In the midst of all my modeling, acting auditions, crew and film production work, I wanted more. I began working for the company Ultimate Exposures as a sports and school portraits photographer during the day, and for IMP Entertainment as an event photographer at night. This opened a lot of networking doors for me. I also started my own freelance design company using the name “StereoSix (Designs)”. Later that same year, I began to model full time for Cutesy Shoes/Cutesy Girl’s website as a product model.

I came back still craving more opportunities and began to post blogs about my work pursuits on the social site Buzznet.com while opening still running my own professional networking site at EmmaEvans.net which later moved to EmmaRoseEvans.com (originally began as and currently RosePendleton.com). With my networking from IMP Entertainment events and fashion shows, I began to show interest more towards starting a clothing line. I began jumping from various names such as “Ragdoll Industries”, until arriving with the name I’m A Jerk Industries after overhearing a young fan talking to a certain musician after a show. On June 5, 2009, my clothing brand I’m A Jerk Industries launched its first collection called “Kids Like Me Don’t Get Famous”.

It consisted of fun graphic tees with unusual characters (all of which had names) and handmade purses sewn with fabrics of bumble bees and lady bugs. I flew around promoting non stop trying to get the attention of my favorite celebrities in hopes of my t shirt being worn by someone I loved. For my first showcase Jade Entertainment Show N Prove I choose to use my design studio name “StereoSix Designs” instead of I’m A Jerk, because I was afraid the name wouldn’t catch as unique enough. However, later I learned that my brands name was what people loved most about my line, but the branding and clothing designs weren’t quite right. Everyone loved them for children though! I quickly collaborated with Starry Eyed Bowtique for another collection released in September 2009 called “Monstrously Cute” featuring little monsters. I also signed onto a feature film called “Weekend” as the ditsy lost Emma Holkins and began filming in December. I was allowed to use several new t shirt design and accessory designs as my character’s costume.

REBRANDING MYSELF (2010 – 2014)

In the beginning of 2010, we wrapped production and ZAMPD filming finally took place (IMDB.com says 2008 but it wasn’t released until 2011). It was immediately after filming I asked to be credited as Rose Pendleton for both roles instead of Rose Pendleton. I launched my clothing brands next collection called “Lost In Venice, Found In Santa Monica” (2010). I participated in an event promoting Invisible Children and was able to sell my clothing.

By 2011, I was given a silk screen machine and dryer in order to produce clothing in bulk and the design types changed dramatically from character illustrations to bleeding paintings I created. The logo changed to the bleeding heart and people started to like the change of the design style. The collection was released in October 2011 as “I Believe” and featured urban style bleeding paint designed graphic tees that both males and females began to like.

At this point Buzznet.com had taken notice of my posts and began featuring them daily in the fashion section of their website. This allowed a large number of readers to find my posts and within a month my views sky rocketed to 5,000 – 20,000 views per post. In 2012, I launched Rosie Says Hello on its own domain, but continued posting on Buzznet until they closed their site to users.

The new designs opened a lot of doors for me and I’m A Jerk Industries was released in eStilos Boutique in Highland, CA.
