Confessions of a Shopaholic: Accessories From Black Friday

Hey guys! So this week my mom & I went shopping and LITERALLY replaced my entire Fall/Winter wardrobe. I got so much that I actually broke it into sections to blog about! 😛

These are only some of the accessories I got this week. I haven’t taken photos of my new beanies or any of my clothes yet. But here’s to start!

I definitely needed new boots because all my boots talk/are worn out.

The first ones are ankle booties with heels and they have a gold buckle on the side. I might wear them for Christmas I havent decided yet; the rest are flat boots. The second ones are my new everyday boots (if you remember my old black boots they replaced these). The third ones are black suede so I only want to wear them occasionally or they will get scuffed up. The last ones are my knee high brown boots because tall boots are needed too! I have so many pairs of slippers but none of them seem to match… So I got these super cute Panda slippers! I’m in love!

I also needed regular necessities, including lots of socks! (Not all my thigh highs are pictured) I only got one graphic print pair that says hi. I really love the color gray especially heather gray for clothing. The gray glitter ones are the only knee highs. The others are amazing they have fuzzy tops on them. I also got some gray tights for these really cute basic dresses I got.

I’m so excited because I’ve never found my actual size (32B) anywhere other than Victoria’s Secret so I got some new bras and I’m selling my old ones (34B) on Vinted they’re super cute! These new bras fit so perfect and the material feels so great!

I also found XS undies (Wal Mart doesn’t sell XS in intmates) so I got a bunch of new pairs! (Not all pictures).

Then I passed by the gloves. The middle pair comes apart so I have black fingerless + regular white ones, lavender ones & black leather with a bow that I’m wearing for Christmas!

Last of the accessories (besides the beanies) the black glitter clutch is for Christmas & the lavender one is my new everyday wallet! Both hold my phone right inside!

Then there’s the clothes. I’m still going through all my old ones and getting rid of things.

After I’m done I’m putting everything for sale on my Vinted page. Shoes too. Until I go through it later, these are my new accessories. I’m so happy with everything! The clothes might need to be broke into multiple blogs! Yikes here we go… xo

Backstage: Fashion Internship for Huntress New York

Today I started a fashion internship for s New York / Los Angeles brand Huntress that sells a collection of the designers own designs as well as an amazing vintage collection in apparel & accessories (purses, jewelry, etc.) featuring genuine leather pieces, retro jumpsuits, disco shirts, and amazing sequin blouses all from different time periods! However it doesn’t stop there! There is also upcoming beauty supplies (coming soon), Body supplies, such as soaps, sage kits, rose oils & energy cleansing kits. Plus different types of teas imported from India, as well as different types of honey! The Los Angeles store is located at 13342 W Washington Blvd Los Angeles, California open Monday – Friday 1pm – 6pm.

Today, I got the chance to help the designer get ready for the Huntress New York Black Friday sale taking place on Black Friday on Rose Ave in Venice Beach, CA!

There will be 26 different designers at the event all selling their items. The event is only $5 and the items being sold are incredible! If you are in the LA area you should definitely come check it out!

I got to spend my day helping curate a unique vintage collection of clothing that would be coming to the event and making labels for the sale. I must say these items are a CATCH! I really want to get my own hands on some of these one of a kind vintage pieces. They will not last so be sure to definitely come check out the sale (or the store!) if you can!

I also got to bottle and package teas!

They are absolutely beautiful which is funny because it’s a drink! Not only are teas beautiful, but most do not know they help with medicinal properties, like headaches, stomach aches, sore throats, and SO much more!

We ended up having a nice cup of Matcha tea, I believe it was paired with a little bit of Almond Milk (I’m not sure), a dash of cinnamon and some honey. We paired it with cashews. It was simply to die for.

I think after all this tea talk, I’m going to make my self a cup of delicious tea. Now which kind to choose I’m not sure. My all time favorite tea is still Chai, both hot & iced, but I’m thinking of something on the more fruity side at the moment which leaves me with Blueberry Wild Flower or Rose Hibiscus! Perhaps I’ll have a cup of both since I’m not feeling very well at the moment. Do you love tea? It’s one of my all time passions. I hope to one day grow my own plants and make my own recipes (I’ve actually already started the process).

Nail Art: Something Glittery for the Holidays!

So this morning I took a walk down to the nearest store (about a 1/2 a mile) just for fun, and as I passed a bus stop I noticed a bunch of trash underneath, including a baby stroller. As I was thinking “who would leave a baby stroller at a bus stop?”, something shiny caught my eye.

“Is that nail polish?” Call me CRAZY, but I decided to pick it up.

Was it broken? No.
Was it empty? No.
Was it dried up? No.

It was a perfectly fine, half full glitter nail polish… So I took it home, and did my nails!

I tore off the labels, because they were covered in dried nail polish, but there was nothing wrong with this nail polish! In fact, it dries super quickly and makes a perfect glitter polish or top coat over any color! 🙂

I had a great morning! Have you found anything on the ground other than money before?

Personal Style: No Games, Just Party

So just in case you’re wondering exactly how I’m “re-posting” my posts I deleted my blogs, but nothing in my media library and in order to keep organized, I’m going from month to month re-posting old posts (such as personal style posts, etc.) and mixing them with new posts that way it’s not all old ones!

This is from a while ago (I think the only thing I miss about my EX is his white garage because now I don’t have anywhere to shoot my new looks with a solid background).

Ironically I almost wore this shirt today! I went with a bodycon floral shirt instead! 😛 Anyways, this is one of my favorite shirts from Jac Vanek and these are my all time favorite shoes that I still have but need to fix because I wore them so much that they started TALKING if you catch my drift! Nothing a bit a super glue can’t fix HA!

Inspiration: My Favorite Elevated Clothing 2015 Tank Tops!

Hey lovers. I wanted to post some of these amazing tank tops from Elevated Clothing because they are downright AMAZING! We all know I’m seriously in love with purple and they have some amazing purple tank tops with awesome designs and did I mention that the designs are printed on BURNOUT tees? Only the best kind possible! So I wanted to share with you some of my favorite tank tops from their 2015 collection 😉

I love love love the loose fit of this “Air Girls Crop Top” not only because it’s a super cute fit, but because it would be really comfortable as well!

As a California girl, this “Golden Surfers” tank is amazing. It’s one of those burnout designs that I was talking about! Burnout tees go through procedures to become the softest and most amazing designs!

Yet another burnout tank top named “Elevation“, but I love with one not only because of the color purple but because the color lime POPS out at you! Talk about amazing branding! Doesn’t it scream at you? Purple, check. Burnout, check. Tank top, check. Overall amazing? Check!

Now this one is one of my favorites because of the color of the design! The baby blue printed on burnout black was a great choice. I am so in love with the complexity of the design but at the same time how it’s so simple! This one is called “Front” what do you think?

Ok, ok, I’m a super sucker for purple! How could I NOT list all the purples as my favorites? I don’t know how I didn’t in the first place but this design is rad! This one is called “Vision“!

Only two more on my to-get list! This one is called “Linguist“!

I have some amazing news everyone! I finally have access to my Lookbook.nu again!

This outfit was definitely screaming “Spring” with all the floral arrangements! Looking back on it, I’m actually not sure I like it quite as much as I did back then, but then again it is Winter which has me craving hot chocolates, sweaters and darker colors when it comes to clothing! Photography: Phone Tip #2 – Use Selfie’s To Spread Positive Vibes

There are times when everyone gets really lonely in the world. They feel like they have no purpose, no friends, and that there’s really no meaning to life at all. I just wanted to remind you all that you are not alone. Everyone feels this way sometimes, but when I mean you are never alone, I really mean you are never alone. I don’t want to push my religious views on anyone but sometimes just when you need to be reminded that someone’s there, somehow you are reminded. I had a really long day today and it feels like my “friends” aren’t really friends at all, but more like people who just use me for the things I have.

That’s when a higher power steps in. I walked into my bedroom and somehow my glitter spilled on my floor. That’s not the random part, the random part is that it somehow decided to go into the exact shape of a cross. I found it right when I was climbing into my bed. This is where it gets really weird.

Maybe God needed to remind me that he’s watching over me because when I turned off the light, the glitter started to glow. I wasn’t aware it was glow in the dark glitter until this happened.

It actually made me happier. Always remember than when you are having a bad day, or feel like you are by yourself. There is someone else there with you and he feels your pain and knows exactly what you’re going through. This isn’t the only time that God has reminded me of his prescene. Sometimes I feel like I don’t really need to be reminded but it’s those times that you need to stop and think that maybe, just maybe, those are the times you need it the most.

Be sure to always put a smile on your face because a smile will spread. It will make others smile, and it will make yourself feel a whole lot better. The expression “fake it to make it” really has some meaning behind it, because when you fake it, it really does come true. Holding that smile and keeping your head held high will eventually make you actually smile and all the positive vibes that you are sending out in the world, will come back to you!

Speaking of the world, I ran across this penny the other day and I’ve run across a lot of different things from different countries like Canada and Mexico (I mean hello, they are our neighbors) but this is one I have never seen before. So I wanted to turn to my followers and find out where it’s from! I could probably just google it. I’ll probably eventually have to anyways, but if you recognize it drop your response in the comments below!

I also took a bunch of selfies today because I was feeling pretty and sometimes you need to remind yourself that no matter what others think, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL! I’ve been feeling very down lately because just before Halloween I lost my job. I’ve been having problems finding a new one and my car has been starting to have a lot of problems on it’s own! I don’t really have the money to afford all this. I feel very alone in the world and today I needed to remind myself that I’m not alone.

So feel free to ignore all my selfies, or don’t just remember to put that smile on and keep it on, even if you have to fake it for a short time. Eventually the real happiness will come 😉 x

Laugh all you want.. but I have two more LOL these were PRE lipstick 😛

Just a few selfie tips that I need to remember for myself as well… you may notice all the ones before the lipstick are a tad pixelated. It’s because you lose quality if you flip the camera around to see your picture when you take it. The last two (or should I say first two?) with no lipstick were taken holding the camera the right way and then I flipped it around to view the photos. Keep that in mind for taking some good positive selfies! 😀 x

Travel: The History of San Dimas

Hello ladies & gentlemen! For those who don’t know I’m a huge history fanatic, and so is my mom! We love learning about our surrounding cities and visiting places that have been around for a really long time! This particular post is about San Dimas (and some of the amazing things I found in vintage shops when we went there). It’s from a while ago, but better than the last post just a bit. These photos were once again taken with my iPhone. I feel the cropping is better than the woods, but definitely still too many textures used on each and every single photo! Even the main streets of San Dimas look vintage which is really rad! It’s apart of Route 66 for those who didn’t know. The main street has A LOT of vintage/antique shops and it’s where I got some of my all time FAVORITE THINGS including my vintage Vans fedora!

Another amazing thing I got when we went is the unicorn crystal and my lion necklace (I am a Leo after all). The Nightmare necklace is from Jac Vanek.

Their main street features a lot of old cars and car shops that have been around since the days of Route 66 as well!

We went on a tour of one of the original railroad stations and went through a museum that talked about all the ways people used to use it as main transportation and they showed us the signals for the trains. I’m pretty sure the train still runs but not in the same way. Now it’s mostly just to show people how it all worked!

I believe this was the LAST time I took photos using my iPhone before my DSLR arrived in the mail. Again, I personally believe these are edited much better than the other ones I just posted. What are your opinions? Are you into history and seeing old things? Or maybe just thrifting and vintage shopping? Either way I remember this day was a lot of fun! x

Photography: Phone Tip #1 – Relax On Those Filters

I remember one of the last time I went out somewhere before replacing my first DSLR (named Joe) with a smaller DSLR (named Patrick) [did you get the pun? ha!]. I went up to a spot in Crestline with my former friend which was kind of like a secret getaway spot for us. It used to be the site of an old Teenage Campground that was burned down. Now it’s just a large grassy area with a flowing river, rocks and lots of wildlife!

On this particular day, I used my iPhone to take photos and some of them are pretty great while others… just aren’t. I did want to share them either way!

The editing on them is horrible! One of the main reasons I no longer use “Light Leaks” or textures on my photos is because I definitely used to over use them. Anyways, on our way down, we spotted a mother deer with two baby deer and cautiously stood by not moving as they crossed the river! She watched us the entire time, ready to charge if she needed. We were pretty far away so the image is zoomed and cropped (which is the reason it’s low quality and horribly pixelated). The baby deer aren’t in the photo, but they were in front of her as she protected them from any danger including me and my former friend.

Photography tips that I would definitely give off of this post, is in nature, leave it natural! It’s definitely best to use natural lighting and only use textures or light leaks on your photos if it’s absolutely needed. Or every once in a while if you feel the need to “decorate” your photos. Using them on EVERY PHOTO is a HUGE NO-NO!

I’d say there’s TWO photos from this day that I find “acceptable” some were so bad I didn’t even post them this time around, but I’ve left the two OKAY ones for last!

Although this photo does have a light leak, it’s more of a vintage old photo feeling. Actually it’s one of my favorite photos that I’ve taken with my iPhone and if all these other ones weren’t paired next to it, it might pass as a pretty decent photograph!

The only thing wrong with this one is the horrible cropping. Again, same “light leak” that makes the photo look old and vintage but the colors give it a forest vibe and I seem to like it. Just wish I had left the cropping alone and made it a regular photo.

The first one of the sunflower would be in third place mainly because the only thing wrong with it is that it’s slightly double exposed because of the wind. What do you think of these iphotography pictures? Hit or definite miss? Which is the worst and which one is ACCEPTABLE in your eyes? Opinions anyone? x

Inspiration: New Invention That Might SAVE Your Life – Lego Slippers

So the most amazing thing just ran across my Social Media feed’s! Have you ever stepped on a Lego? Those things hurt like there’s no tomorrow. No really! You might not recover for an entire day after stepping on one of those bad boys! So, these new slippers just may save your life… or at least your feet from a lot of pain! Especially with the holidays right around the corner! Lego’s have made some pretty amazing sets of toys for children, whether it be Harry Potter’s Hogwarts Castle to the entire Star Wars Galaxy, let’s not deny that even as an adult you sometimes let your inner child out just to create some fun things. I usually go for the classic of creating a house, but hey, I’m not really very creative when it comes to building things with Legos.

However, sometimes a Lego misses the box, or the children flat out leave them on the ground when they’re finished to go play with something else. We just got a new TV at my house and when we moved our old one we found at least 25 Lego’s hidden underneath it. And let’s say stepping on a Lego when you least expect it is definitely one of the most uncomfortable feelings on the planet. That’s where these bad boys step in! The French company “Brand Station” has just released a new pair of slippers!

These amazing slippers aren’t just cute with the Lego design, but they are also designed to be extra padded to help protect your feet & toes from getting hurt when you step on a Lego! Plus, there’s not “left foot” “right foot”, so you can slip into these bad boys with no problems at all! They just might be a game changer to how adults view Lego’s! There is one HUGE problem though… only 1,500 total we’re made!

In order to get a pair of these, you have to submit to the Christmas Wishlist on their website. You can also get more information about the slippers and how durable they are by heading to their Facebook page! Wouldn’t it be awesome to get a pair of these?
